High Flyers graduating senior, Jessica, had a great showing at the Region 3 Xcel Gold Championships May 15th at Aurora, Colorado. Competing in the Senior D division, she placed 3rd on uneven bars with a score of 9.275. She was 9th all-around, with a 9th on vault, 11th on beam, and 14th on floor.

We are so proud of Jessica and Lucia, who represented High Flyers at the Xcel Gold Region 3 Championships this weekend. The girls did great, with Jessica placing 9th and Lucia 17th all-around. Congratulations girls!
This month marks the beginning of the new year cycle for our competitive teams. The new Level 3 team met for the first time on Tuesday and includes members from last year's Level 2 and 3 teams, plus some new team students. Students in all team groups will be working on fundamentals and strength training this month. We're excited for all our team students and look forward to a great year!
Congratulations to all our compulsory gymnasts who represented High Flyers so well at state. We had two all-around state champions - Piper at Level 2 and Abby at Level 4. Many of our girls got season high scores. Congratulations to everyone and also to our many event champions.
At Level 2, both Lana and Clare were bar champions in their age groups. Lana also placed 2nd all-around with a score of 36.3 and was second on beam and third on floor. Great job Lanal!. Halle placed second on vault and third on beam and Gillian placed third on bars and beam. Alicia placed 3rd on floor. Piper also placed on several events (specific results not available). At level 3, Layla placed 3rd all-around. She was second on vault and floor, and third on beam. Haley and Olivia tied with each other for second place on vault. And in a very competitive age bracket, Ellie got 3rd on vault with an amazing score of 9.3! Great job, Ellie. At Level 4, Natalia placed 1st on bars. Abby was 2nd on bars and floor and 3rd on beam in addition to being a state all-around champion. Sara also placed 2nd on bars. Caterina was 2nd on bars and 3rd on vault while Bella was 3rd on vault, bars, and floor. Lilliana also placed 3rd on bars. At Level 5, Madison placed 2nd on vault while Kaylee placed 3rd on bars. Despite fierce competition, Madison placed 4th all-around with a season high score of 35.2. Next up - optional state. Good luck to our Level 6 and 7 competitors this weekend! Congratulations to our High Flyers competitive team. All our compulsory and optional competitors have qualified to 2022 state. The meets will be held in Albuquerque at Sandia Prep, located at 532 Osuna Rd NE. Good luck girls - shine at state!
Our Level 2, 3, and 5 team members will be competing this weekend at the New Mexico state championships. The meet will be held at Sandia Prep in Albuquerque this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $10 adults, $5 kids. Come out and cheer on our athletes! Good luck to all our competitors - remember to relax and have fun!
High Flyers mom, dads, grandparents, aunts, and uncles - join us Saturday evening from 5:30 to 9:00 pm and again Sunday from 10 am until 8 pm to help remodel the gym for better student access and safety. We will be moving some equipment and mats into new locations to create better student pathways in and our of the gym and around the equipment, and need your help. Whether heavy lifting is your gig, or you can handle a mop or dust rag to help clean and refresh the gym, please volunteer a few hours of your weekend to help us improve the gym for your students.
We will provide water and snacks - come for a few hours or the whole weekend. Kids are welcome, but will need to stay clear of the work area when equipment is being moved and anchored. . ![]() High Flyers is excited to be introducing the Ninja Kidz program this fall. Featured on YouTube and Instagram, this program combines aspects of gymnastics, martial arts, and parkour. Kids wear their official Ninja Kidz t-shirts to class and work their way through progressive skill levels. Check it out and you too could know the ways of the Ninja! |
