High Flyers Coaches & Staff
Our instructors are highly qualified gymnastics enthusiasts with backgrounds ranging from gymnastics and physical education to child development and licensed educational professionals. Our instructional team is comprised of adult gymnastics professionals including coaches, judges and former competitive gymnasts. High Flyers is committed to providing professional, supervised, safe, and fun classes with quality curriculum for all students. To ensure students receive a consistent, positive experience, High Flyers provides regular, ongoing training, and certification opportunities for all instructors and assistants.

Director: David Vosburgh
Executive Director and Coach

David Vosburgh is a lifelong businessman and entrepreneur and a longtime gymnastics enthusiast. He has served as Executive Director of Los Alamos High Flyers Gymnastics since its inception and brings a wealth of business experience to the organization. His leadership, technical, and business experience includes founding and running several successful businesses. In addition to his professional experience, David has been active in community organizations including helping with and serving on the board of two youth athletic organizations, a homeowner's association and serving as treasurer on a community political campaign. He is a Level 1 certified ski instructor and has taught downhill skiing and racing at Pajarito Mountain. He is an active USA Gymnastics professional, has attended numerous national and regional congresses and is safety-certified and first-aid certified. He is a USA Gymnastics U300 certified Team Coach.
Coach: Alex Hinckley
Recreational Coach

In 2017, Alex completed a successful gymnastics career at High Flyers, becoming our first ever graduating senior. She left Los Alamos to continue her education and career. She is now back starting her professional life as an independent hair stylist in Los Alamos.
Alex served a student coach, teaching KinderGym students while in high school, so has several years of proven experience as a coach. We are delighted to have her back at High Flyers as a recreational coach, passing on what she learned to a new generation of students.

Coach: Jennifer Newman
Recreational and Level 2-3 Team Coach

Jennifer spent years working in childhood development and management prior to joining High Flyers Gymnastics. She began with High Flyers in 2015 as an assistant coach and quickly advanced to coaching KinderGym, recreational, and pre-competitive classes.
Jennifer is a safety-certified USA Gymnastics Professional and recently obtained her U200 Coaching Certification for Levels 1-4. During the 2019 season, she coached Xcel, and this year is the head Level 2 team coach and assistant coach to the Level 3 team. She is also a Ninja Kidz certified coach.

Coach: Leslie Puckett
Level 3 Team Coach

Leslie started gymnastics and Scottish Highland dancing at the age of five, while living in Mississauga, Ontario. When she moved to Los Alamos at age 11, she continued both gymnastics and dancing. She trained with Zia Gymnastics until she retired from the sport at the age of 17.
Leslie taught gymnastics at daycare centers and an elementary after-school program in Fort Collins, CO in 1998. She taught the Little Big Tumblers class for one year at the YMCA. She has taught preschool gymnastics at Quemazon Montessori for 7 years. This is her tenth year teaching with High Flyers Gymnastics. She is a safety-certified USA Gymnastics Professional and a U300 certified team coach.
Leslie also teaches Scottish Highland dancing (privately and is in her third year with DALA). She performed and competed in Highland dancing in Ontario, the Eastern Provinces, around the United States, and in Scotland. She stopped competing in 2001, but she still performs with the ABQ & Four Corners Pipes and Drums. She has been a Highland member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) since 1990.

Coach: Dan Vollans
Parkour & Ninja Kidz Coach

Dan has been coaching and practicing gymnastics and parkour for the past 10 years. He recently joined High Flyers where he is sharing his skills with our Parkour 1 & 2 classes and also teaching the Saturday Ninja Kidz. Prior to High Flyers, Dan taught adult gymnastics and beginning through advanced parkour in Santa Fe. He is a talented athlete and coach, and a devoted dad, but insists on maintaining his day job at LANL. Welcome Dan!
Coach: Linda Vosburgh
Recreational Coach, Level 10 Judge

Linda first became involved in gymnastics in 1994, when she enrolled her then 2 year old daughter in a local gymnastics school. In 2003, Linda became a women's artistic gymnastics judge and currently holds a Level 10 ranking. She has been a USA Gymnastics professional member the past 16 years with women's artistic and group gymnastics disciplines, and has served on the board of three gymnastics clubs and the New Mexico State Board for the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges. She is USA Gymnastics U200 Development Coach certified, and is first-aid and safety-certified. She teaches girls pre-competitive and recreational classes.
