High Flyers Coaches & Staff
Our instructors are highly qualified gymnastics enthusiasts with backgrounds ranging from gymnastics and physical education to child development and licensed educational professionals. Our instructional team is comprised of adult gymnastics professionals including coaches, judges and former competitive gymnasts. High Flyers is committed to providing professional, supervised, safe, and fun classes with quality curriculum for all students. To ensure students receive a consistent, positive experience, High Flyers provides regular, ongoing training, and certification opportunities for all instructors and assistants.

Director: David Vosburgh
Executive Director and Team Coach
David Vosburgh is a lifelong businessman and entrepreneur and a longtime gymnastics enthusiast. He has served as Executive Director of Los Alamos High Flyers Gymnastics since its inception and brings a wealth of business experience to the organization. His leadership, technical, and business experience includes founding and running several successful businesses. In addition to his professional experience, David has been active in community organizations including helping with and serving on the board of two youth athletic organizations, a homeowner's association and serving as treasurer on a community political campaign. He is a Level 1 certified ski instructor and has taught downhill skiing and racing at Pajarito Mountain. He is an active USA Gymnastics professional, has attended numerous national and regional congresses and is safety-certified and first-aid certified. He is a USA Gymnastics U300 certified Team Coach.
Coach: Rachel Josephson
Ninja Kidz Program
Rachel Josephson is a proud mother of two ninjas who got tired of waiting around on the bleachers and decided to join in on the fun. She loves teaching children, practicing her handstand, and swinging on the rope like a monkey. She has been working at High Flyers since 2023 and considers it her favorite part-time job.
Coach: Robin Kelly
Optional Team Coach
Robin started gymnastics at the age of 5. She competed as a level 9 gymnast and in high school gymnastics, where she won many titles including the Wisconsin Valley Conference all-around champion in 2006 and the Wisconsin Valley Conference beam, vault and bars champion in 2007. In college, she competed in division 3 gymnastics at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and coached recreational gymnastics. After completing her PhD in chemistry, Robin moved to Los Alamos and began coaching at High Flyers is 2016. She currently coaches levels 7 and 8. |
Coach: Jennifer Newman
Level 2 Team Coach
Jennifer spent years working in childhood development and management prior to joining High Flyers Gymnastics. She began with High Flyers in 2015 as an assistant coach and quickly advanced to coaching KinderGym, recreational, and pre-competitive classes.
Jennifer is a safety-certified USA Gymnastics Professional and recently obtained her U200 Coaching Certification for Levels 1-4. In addition to recreational gymnastics, she coaches Level 2 and was head coach of our Xcel team. She is also a Ninja Kidz certified coach.

Coach: Jessica Sanders
Level 4 Team Coach
Jessica joined the High Flyers coaching staff in 2024 and currently coaches our Level 4 team. She grew up in Los Alamos where she was a long-time, successful gymnast, reaching Level 8.
Coach: Linda Vosburgh
Team Coach, Developmental Program Director, National Judge
Linda first became involved in gymnastics in 1994, when she enrolled her then 2 year old daughter in a local gymnastics school. In 2003, Linda became a women's artistic gymnastics judge and currently holds a National ranking. She has been a USA Gymnastics professional member the past 20 years with women's artistic and group gymnastics disciplines, and has served on the board of three gymnastics clubs and the New Mexico State Board for the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges. She is USA Gymnastics U200 Development Coach certified, and is first-aid and safety-certified. She coaches all developmental and team levels.

Coach: Amanda Lopez
Level 4 Team Coach
Amanda was a dancer and a high school cheerleader. She joined the High Flyers coaching staff in 2023. She co-coaches the Level 4 team.
Coach: Lucia Chacon
Recreational Coach
Coach Lucia is a former High Flyers gymnast and regional qualifier. She currently coaches recreational gymnastics including preschool, kindergym and girls developmental classes.
